THE MUSICAL DIRECTOR
ELMER BRILLANTES BLANCAFLOR is a multi-awarded composer, arranger, album / concert / jingle producer. He has worked as musical director for some of the biggest names in the music industry like Ogie Alcasid. Randy Santiago, Dindong Avanzado, among others. He was the musical director of Gerald Santos' concert at the Sky dome SM North Edsa.
He was a winner (3rd place) in the Young Composer's Competition, CCP in 1985, and a grand winner of the Pluma Songwriting Contest in 1983. 2nd place in the Human Rights jingle-writing contest in 1988 .2nd placer in the Population jingle-writing contest in 1989. In September 2013, he was a grand finalist of the ASOP Music Festival.
He is a favorite arranger of today's brightest singers. He arranged Jay-R's hit song “Bakit Pa Ba" and is also the arranger of Willie Revillame's latest hit songs, “lkaw Na Nga" and “I Love you". Both albums for these artists reached the platinum awards status.
Musically direct and create music in all forms whether it is classical or pop. After college he joined several bands even rap groups Francis M and started going all around the world, by the turn of the century, together with his wife they started doing shows locally. Right now he is an arranger of the master composer Vehnee Saturno and has done arrangements and songs for a lot of local artist, to name a few…Marissa Sanchez, JR, Dingdong Avanzado, Jessa Sarragosa, Faith Cuneta, Marion Aunor, Willie Revillame, NINA, Sarah Geronimo, etc….
